Knowsley lies at the heart of the north west between the bustling cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Home to approximately 142,452 (ONS 2020) residents, the borough boasts the town centres of Huyton, Prescot, Whiston, Kirkby and Halewood along with smaller villages and vibrant communities.<\/p>

Sitting directly adjacent to the motorway network, Knowsley is well connected not only to major cities but also The Port of Liverpool and international airports, making overseas connections swift and accessible. For this reason it is an ideal location for businesses associated with logistics, automotive and construction. Employers have access to a wide and skilled talent pool of 970,000 working age people, with a further six million people living within an hour commute of Knowsley. There are approximately 4000 businesses in the borough including international companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, QVC, Amazon, Tratos (winner of the Queen\u2019s Award for Enterprise in 2019) and Matalan. But aside from its connectivity and industry, Knowsley is also an incredibly green place with award winning parks and open spaces and just over two thirds of the borough being classified as greenbelt. Knowsley Hall & Estate – the ancestral home of the Earls of Derby \u2013 still remains a family home to this day whilst also providing an exclusive wedding venue. The Estate itself is also home to the famous Knowsley Safari a major visitor attraction that welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.<\/p>

In 2022, the borough is set to welcome thousands more as the doors of The Shakespeare North Playhouse will open to visitors. Located in Prescot, this multi-million-pound arts venue will firmly place Knowsley on the cultural map of the UK. Celebrating the borough\u2019s connection to the world\u2019s most famous playwright, The Playhouse will complete the UK\u2019s Shakespearean triangle with The Globe in London and The RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
